Banjul, The Gambia — The Gambia Police Force has confirmed the arrest of four individuals linked to ongoing gang-related violence in Sinchu Alagie, as part of a broader security operation targeting criminal activity across the Greater Banjul Area. On the evening of June 12, 2025, Anti-Crime Unit (ACU) patrol teams conducted intensified operations in several hotspot communities, including Wellingara, Sukuta, Sinchu Alagie, Talinding, Serrekunda, and Brusubi Phase 2. While most areas remained calm, serious disturbances were reported in Sinchu Alagie. A violent altercation occurred at Five Junctions in Sinchu Alagie between two rival groups—the Ghetto Force Crew and the Blackpool Ghetto Crew.
